Portraiture is a very old art form going back at least to ancient Egypt, where it flourished from about 5,000 years ago. Before the invention of photography, a painted, sculpted, or drawn portrait was the only way to record the appearance of someone. Portraits have always been more than just a record. They have been used to show the power, importance, virtue, beauty, wealth, taste, learning or other qualities of the sitter.

The portrait masters certainly had it right, but we believe portraits should also be relaxed, fun-filled, and all about capturing you, your relationships and your story. Your images should hold empathy, emotion, and essence of its subject, YOU!

Jules loves to get to you know you and tends to have a conversation with a camera rather than static un emotive posing. She adores kids and finds so much joy in their love, passion and often resistance to being photographed.

“Everyone is SO different and we should celebrate that.”

Jules Clyde
