There’s something to be said about growing and working on one’s self. Some people will say it’s a load of crap while others just nod and give you that ‘I understand what you’re talking about’ look. I have been consciously working on myself now for a good 6 solid months not so critically but three months intensively. Really getting down to the core of who I am and what I do.
I have had the joy of speaking with many business people and life coaches who have all shared really great content with me about themselves and their lives. The majority of which has been so inspiring and awakening for me I will never be able to explain or thank them enough… may just nod that knowing nod next time we meet. Just picture that nod with the biggest smiling face and that’ll be me. It’s not easy, there are some really hard, lonely feeling days but when you have a tribe around you of people who uplift and inspire you to keep stepping up and out of the flames towards the light, there really is a great sense of accomplishment looking back to where you came from.
Why am I talking about this today? Because life is about who you are, and what you do. Which is essentially a brand. What is YOUR brand?
NO, I don’t mean your logo. As I was educated about the difference last night I want to share it with you today. A logo you can buy fairly cheaply and doesn’t always have any substance or meaning behind it. What I’m talking about it your BRAND. Who are you as a person and what do you do in life? Work? Business? The world? I’m continually realizing and growing my brand, but I’m at a place now where I know the direction and the pieces are being created around the goals, intentions and future direction. Your brand has been tailored and created around your core values, beliefs and what you do and who you are. Don’t believe me? Look at the BIG companies in life and their brand- their beliefs and core values are so often represented in their graphic and their wording of what they do. Apple being a prime example. Knowing they sell computers is one thing, but coming from a place of delivering a beautifully designed product that is easy to use and one that challenges the status quo. Who would have thought you’d be purchasing Phones, music devices and watches from a computer company. They are selling more than just computers, it’s a belief as well.

I help new and existing female entrepreneurs to brand their business through their branding, colours, typeface and also their imagery. I photograph women as their most authentic self and add substance and depth to what they do by creating a brand that is truest to who they are both as a woman and entrepreneur.
What separates me from other designers and creatives? I work intuitively and lovingly with my clients. We get to know each other inside out and form friendships through our business together. I don’t take on all jobs that come my way, for two reasons. If I already have my graphic schedule filled, or if I don’t sense the work would be right for me. I would rather state after our first consultation that the work isn’t quite right for my skills, which I think is important to any brand.
I am really looking forward to putting together branding documents and forming incredible brands with my fellow femmes. A lot of the areas of the business are in re-formation right now but I’m really loving the new journey of this path and will continue to grow my paths and directions in life.
