Personality One

I can’t quite explain to you how funny it is seeing personalitly in such a little bean. I know most mum’s are doting and tell you how wonderful their child is, and I’ll admit there are days I do the same… However she is often such a turkey it cracks me up laughing. Apart from at 3am when she decides it is party time after feeding and I just want to crawl back to bed.
She continues to fight both of us every step of the way… she fights sleep, feeding, dressing, waking, bathing, smiling, eating… you name it this girl will do the opposite of what you’d like. I try to burp her to help her belly pains and she will fight me. Especially when she knows there is food still in the bottle. She keeps a VERY keen eye on the bottle as we are feeding and knows there is more. I now have to say ‘all gone’ and hide the  bottle!!!
Dad continues to be besotted by his little girl and will flatly deny it. Finally had him change his first poo nappy today purely by fluke. He got up to do the 8:30am feed after a night on the uni books- I have to love him for that, and upon opening the nappy had to hold his breath and tears back until he’d changed her. heheh good girl 🙂
In the last month we have both been guilty of falling asleep in various places about the house with bub in arms. Chris has the record for sleeping whilst feeding her, 1-0. I fell asleep trying to put her to sleep… it worked, maybe she felt sorry for her poor mum.
One month in, we had our first smile today! A proper no wind kind of smile with the eyes sparkling. Dad missed them as he had to pop out for work meetings but I’m positive there are going to be a LOT more.

Our favourite things to date:
Dad says ‘when she poos and mum changes her…..’
Her sneezes- very cute noise

No so favourite past times:
Dad says ‘when he has to change poo nappys….?’
Working out what that scream means
Arguments at feeding time… bath time… change time…
